My name is Heather Vitella and I am the CEO and owner of Cover Crop Marketing. I have a real passion for working with non-profits – helping them to connect with their customers through strategic marketing. To show our support for this part of the community, we annually donate a complete soup-to-nuts marketing package to a group that is making a difference in their sphere of influence. We are thrilled to give back to the community, assisting those who do so much to assist others.

Some Background

Growing up in New Hampshire, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. I was awarded a USDA National Needs Fellowship and went on to receive my Master’s Degree in Food Engineering from Rutgers University.

I have a wide range of food experience, having worked at Unilever (Gorton’s Seafood), Welch’s Foods and Ahold USA (multinational grocery chain). Within the industry, I’ve developed expertise in the areas of food engineering, project management and strategic sourcing/purchasing. I’ve served on new product development teams and helped products go from bench-top development to full-scale manufacturing.

After leaving the food industry, I built Cover Crop Marketing – a full-service digital marketing company. We serve both corporations and organizations, across all kinds of markets, with a focus on nurturing brand authenticity through modern marketing. I design new logos, create large websites, manage social media channels and rebrand groups and organizations, with dedicated resources in the areas of
